where you need to replace the IP address and the port of the proxy.

Missing CDI

If a CDI used in the NetCDF file, could not be found in the MARIS database, you will see an error like this: "Not all CDI could be found. See the file ...".

  • You might need to update the CDI list. Click on "Reload vocabularies and CDI list".
  • Check CDI included in the file ending with "cdi_import_errors.csv. the columns of this files corresponds to the author EDMO code, local CDI and error message.
  • Compare it the CDI identifier with the table CDI-list-export.zip.

 "True", "486", "1451364", "1054"
  • An quick way to check if a data point is in the MARIS database is to construct the following URL:

Replacing X with the author edmo code and Y with the CDI identifier. For example:

  • Get a list of all CDIs and EMDO codes used in a DIVA product will the following command:
ncdump -v obsid /path/to/NetCDF/file.nc > obid.txt

The format is <author EDMO code>-<CDI id>.
