Ensemble Perturbation Smoother
The Ensemble Perturbation Smoother is a software package performing an ensemble analysis to determine forcing fields of a numerical model by assimilation of observations. Details of the procedure are explained in:

Requirements
This package requires either GNU Octave or MATLAB.
Installation
- Download the package from http://modb.oce.ulg.ac.be/mediawiki/upload/Alex/EnsPertSmoother-1.0.tar.gz
- Extract the package at a location that suits you
- Add the path to your MATLAB/Octave search path in the menu File > Set Path (in MATLAB) or by adding:
addpath('/path/to/EnsPertSmoother-x.y');
in your start-up file called startup.m in MATLAB or .octaverc in GNU Octave.
Testing
The script toy_example will show you an example:
