Observing and Modelling of Eddy Scale Geostrophic
and Ageostrophic Circulation

The aim of the project is to determine the three-dimensional ageostrophic circulation at mesoscale fronts and eddies, to quantitatively estimate the vertical velocity and to evaluate the impact of the ageostrophic velocity on biogeochemical properties.
